Mission statement

  • To acknowledge the natural dignity of everyone, regardless of ethnic origin, background or personal circumstances.
  • To actively promote a climate of equality through acceptance, mutual respect and empathy.
  • To operate a culture of fairness, openness and honesty for all.

The Citizens Trust is one of London’s leading providers of Welfare to Work programmes for people from many different backgrounds, especially those hardest to reach. The Trust specialises in offering services above and beyond the normal scope of employability provision and provides a holistic environment, which takes all needs into account.

Experienced staff are on hand to support and offer guidance and counselling on personal matters such as debt and anger management, legal matters, and advice on housing, benefits and healthcare.

This ethos has led to the Trust’s excellent reputation for providing a caring atmosphere, in which even the most vulnerable participants achieve success. Its Chairman, the Rt. Hon Lord Morris of Manchester AO QSO, the first Minister for Disabled People in the UK, sets the standards of care typified by the nature of the organization.
