- Over 18 years old
- Lived in the UK for over 3 years
- In receipt of JSA
- Looking to develop a career in Health and Social Care
- Non degree holder
- At Entry Level 3 or above in Literacy and Numeracy
- Willing to work 16 hours plus and undertake shift work and weekends
‘The Citizens Trust’ in Ealing is offering you the chance to take advantage of a routeway into the Health and Social Care sector. The Helping Skills Award level 2 is a QCF qualification delivered over 10 days covering in-depth awareness of key skills, knowledge and abilities.
At the end of this 10 day course you will be required to attend an intensive job placement day where you will be supported in your job applications (subject to opportunities). You will be offered a range of options including work placements, apprenticeships and employment opportunities.

The three mandatory units cover:- Unit 1: Developing self awareness for the helping relationship
- Unit 2: Developing listening and communication skills for helping relationships
